HUGE FREE Traffic source List!

By admin, December 30, 2009 6:09 pm

A Massive list of free traffic sources

Happy New Year!!

Here’s my pick of FREE Traffic sources that helped me drive a ton of free traffic in 2009

1. Submit your Blog to Content Aggregators like AllTop.com and 9Rules.com.

2. High-Profile Content Syndication – As you probably know, simply
submitting you articles to sites like EzineArticles.com is becoming less and less effective. You can get exponentially more results by zoning on in high-profile content syndication – submitting your articles to the top blogs and websites in your niche. For example, here are just a few top-tier websites that accept article contributions:

http://bleacherreport.com

http://mashable.com/writers/

http://www.momsnetwork.com/submit-articles.shtml

http://www.site-reference.com

http://www.betternetworker.com

http://www.current.com

http://www.favorideas.com/submit-wedding-articles/

http://www.associateprograms.com/authors/register

http://seekingalpha.com/page/submit-an-article

http://www.wisebread.com/guest-post

http://www.dumblittleman.com/2006/08/submit-article-to-dlm.html

http://www.lifehack.org/about/contribute

http://articles.mercola.com/submit/

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

No matter what market you’re in, there are very popular websites that you
could be submitting articles to for massive traffic.

3. Guest Blogging – Yes, I realize that most of you have probably already
heard about the power of guest blogging. But how many of you are actually doing it?

4. Trackbacks

5. Blog Commenting – Blog commenting is an extremely powerful strategy
for building traffic and developing relationships with other people in your niche. One of my blog comments brought in 230+ unique visitors.

6. Write Tutorials! – Tutorials are a HUGE untapped traffic source online. If you have a website related to graphic design, wordpress, web development, SEO, marketing, or programming, then you can use tutorials
to send thousands of visitors to your website.

This includes sites like:

Instructables.com
Tutorialized.com
Noupe.com
Good-Tutorials.com
Pixel2Life.com
PsLover.com
TutorialKit.com
Tutorial-Index.com

7. Video Responses – This is one of the easiest ways to get hundreds of
extra views on your YouTube videos.

8. Tag Your Videos – If you use the same tags as another related video on YouTube, then you will have a very good chance of appearing in the related videos in the sidebar of that video, which can send you tons of
extra traffic, especially if it’s a popular video.

9. Embed Your Video for Hundreds of Extra Views – You can also embed your video on other sites for hundreds of extra views. This includes sites like WonderHowTo.com, Flixya.com, Uvouch.com, Tagged.com, Vewgle.com, etc…

10. Get More Views on Your EzineArticles by getting in the “Most Viewed” or the “Most Published” section at the end of each article. You can do this by submitting your article to all of the different social bookmarking sites until you are the “most viewed” in your category.

Once your article is placed in the “Most Viewed” section or the “Most
Published” section, it will be placed on every single article within that particular category.

That means extra exposure for your article and more LINK JUICE. The internal linking structure within EzineArticles.com is EXTREMELY powerful for ranking in Google, giving you a much better chance of ranking for your chosen keyword phrase.

If you want to guarantee your spot in the “Most Viewed” section you can use StumbleUpon advertising, which is just 5 cents per view. This is one of the simplest ways to get your article in the “Most Viewed” section.

Plus, by using StumbleUpon, you’re also driving lots of targeted traffic to your article and increasing your exposure.

11. Cool Site of The Day – Do you have a cool website? If so, you can submit it to Cool Site of the Day. If chosen, you will receive thousands of visitors to your website.

12. Coupons – If your site offers coupons of any kind, you can submit your site to hundreds of different coupon directories online for additional exposure and traffic.

For a complete list of coupon sites, go to…

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p4bAsllwd0FlMmPng37LvTA

13. Twitter Traffic

14. Free giveaways to other peoples lists for building your list

15. JV Giveways

16. Host your Own JV Giveaways

17. Ad Swaps

18. Use a Contest to Double Your List Size – I’m always surprised at how few people use this technique.

Clayton Makepeace, one of the smartest marketers online, has used this technique quite effectively.

This technique allows you to leverage your exisiting list in order to add thousands of additional subscribers.

19. Amazon Mechanical Turk – Many people do not realize it’s potential marketing power. You can use MTurk to get people to submit your articles to social bookmarking sites, Stumbles, Diggs, YouTube votes, YouTube comments, etc…

20. SocialElves – If you’ve ever wanted to get on the front page of Digg, SocialElves.com can help you do it. They are one of the first to offer truly organic marketing campaigns on Digg.com. If you’d like to get more exposure on your content WITHOUT having to spend months developing power profiles on all the different social media sites, then I would highly suggest you check out SocialElves.com

21. Buy Existing Websites – I’m always surprised how few people are buying existing websites online. You can easily buy an untapped website and quickly turn it into an automatic lead machine for pennies on the pound.

Here’s wishing you every success in 2010!

How To Get 1000’s Of Twitter Followers In Just A Few Days

By admin, December 29, 2009 1:47 am

Here is a short succinct version of my Twitter Solution that I have put together. I tested and I had 750 followers within three days. I am going to rinse and repeat it this week.

Step 1 – register your account on Twitter

Step 2 – go to Twellow.com to find people with similar interests, i.e. scuba diving, stuttering etc

Step 3 – Once you have found the person you are interested in..say…hmmm Megan Fox, simply click on his followers then begin to follow them….click on a max 400 per day otherwise Twitter will think you are a bot. Do that for the next couple of days until you reach your max 2000 that you can follow.

Step 4 – go to Your Twitter Karma
and follow the instructions…don’t worry about having to enter your twitter name and password etc..it’s safe I have already checked it out..fully.

This site will tell you who you are following and who’s following you. It’s a bit clunky (api issues i guess) but you can then unfollow those who aren’t following you. This will allow you to go back to step one and add more followers.

Wait a few days before you do step 4 to allow those who you have recently followed to follow you a back. If after a couple days or even a week then you can stop following them.

This will allow you to get past the 2000 mark that are following you and take you to that next level on Twitter.

Then you start talking to them and generating interest in you DON’T SELL ANYTHING YET!

Just entice :-)

10 Reasons Why Facebook Is Brilliant For FREE Traffic

By admin, December 28, 2009 1:20 am

Facebook, at its most basic level, is what it sounds like. In the olden days before the Internet, when I was just a wee girl, a facebook was a book with photographs in it, meant to help people on campus get to know each other, from alumni and staff to students and teaching faculty. If you know someone on Facebook, that’s reason enough to join.

Yes, like AOL was, it is a “walled garden”, meaning it’s a closed network where the general public can’t see what you’re up to – you have to be a member to get beyond faces, or to interact with the faces you see.

Sometimes, privacy is a good thing, don’t cha think?

People present a different side to themselves when the doors are closed, when they can control who is observing what they do.

And this is what is wonderful about Facebook. You get to know people on a more personal level than you would with email. You can learn what their interest are, and see how they interact. I’ll get into more details about the tools in Facebook that actually make this possible later on.

Right now, here’s a quick list of what makes Facebook the place to be right now.

- You can be yourself more, and still be professional.

- There are ways to say things on Facebook that aren’t exactly risque, but that you wouldn’t put on your blog, either, due to audience conflicts or content compatibility issues.

- It’s easier and faster to get to know people you admire.

- There are many people whose content I enjoy, that I’d like to get to know better, in a deeper way than commenting on their blog would allow, but is not as intrusive as random emailing or calling them on the phone out of the blue.

- Facebook allows me to find and talk to those people, and soak up a whole different batch of their wisdom than the public at large gets to see.

- So if you find out that someone you admire is on Facebook and they aren’t yet overwhelmed with noise, get on and Friend them before their list goes over 100 – that seems to be the point at which the noise has the potential to overwhelm the signal.

- It helps you establish common ground to facilitate deeper bonds when networking.

- You have a lot more leverage to introduce yourself to someone if you participated in several of the same discussions and are interested in the same things.

- With a blog you have a fleeting connect until someone comments repeatedly.

I mean, honestly, how many blogs do you visit every single day, of the ones that are in your reader?

Facebook has a system that reminds me to care for and feed my relationships with people in a way that a blog doesn’t. When you bump into someone enough within this remnder system, you’ll want a way to connect to each other more often.

It’s intimate.

This point can’t be overstated. Facebook feels like a bunch of small gatherings, even when there’s a conversation in a big group taking place among hundreds of people.

This makes people feel comfortable, when they’re comfortable they relax, when they relax, they’re more open. Meeting colleagues, potential clients and your favorite gurus is a completely different experience than when you meet them in a more public part of the Net – for better or for worse, you’ll often get the most accurate version of a person you can online.

Facebook friends are more likely to help spread your content.

In the past week that I’ve been more active than usual on Facebook, I’ve been included on fanpages and events which led to getting on the first page of Google.

I didn’t even know these people read my content, we’re really only Facebook and Twitter friends, it’s not like I know the guys, though Facebook makes it feel like I do.

I also have had more of my other content either replied to or submitted to social news sites by people not on my team than in just about any other community I’ve ever particpated in.

You can display your expertise instead of just talking about it.

It’s one thing to get compliments by peers, or to be published in a prestigous online publication because of somethng you wrote – in fact, it’s a great thing. A wonderful enhancement to that is when a potential client sees you edified by one of your peers. It’s extremely powerful, because it happens in real time.

Many of the activities you flit around the Web doing can be accessed from within Facebook, which can help organize and simplify your day.

I can Twitter, Jaiku, share blog posts I like, and do a LOT of other social media related things that are imperative to my business from within Facebook. Of course, I don’t need to have Facebook to do this. It just makes it easier and more fun.

So what happens to me when Facebook is down? The same thing that happens to me when Google is down. I don’t rely on Google for ALL my traffic, and in the same way I don’t rely on Facebook for access to my friends, social networking, etc. The part of the online world that gets pulled into Facebook is still retained on the outside of the garden – ie, I can still Twitter from the Twitter page if I like.

Facebook brings you 30 million potential people for you to market to – Without Necessarily Actively Marketing to Them.

Facebook is not a place to spam your link and people who do are mostly ignored, and occasionally chastized. Yet, even though I have not done one single thing to market myself on Facebook, I’ve got a whole new audience stream from it.

No, really, besides doing the best three things that can get people from my Facebook profile to my web page, I have done zero marketing on Facebook – and yes, there are ways to market on Facebook besides networking, I just haven’t used any of them.

And yet I get constant traffic.

It feels like a fun waste of time but it can actually double as highly productive time spent on your online business.

I know I don’t have to explain to you why feeling like you’re goofing off, when you’re growing your business, is a good thing.

The additional stream of traffic I get to my blog from Facebook is more interactive.

With 1879 friends and one network able to see my full profile – the people who come here from there are more likely to reply to posts, and they leave deep conversationsl responses. Makes sense when you think about it – traffic from a more interactive community is more likely to… um… interact.

You’ll find all kinds of long lost friends.

There are people I haven’t heard from, literally since school, that I found again through Facebook. It made my eyes mist up to see some of them around again, and doing well. That’s the best present I could ever get from being online and it was totally free!

SEO for Dummies

By admin, December 26, 2009 10:59 pm

Would you like your very own sites to rank at #1 position in
Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other search engines?

If the answer is YES (as I am sure it is), keep reading, it
is actually a piece of piss to do.

The information I am about to give you here could quite
easily sell for a few hundred quid, but I am going to give
it to you FREE for being such a loyal client.

Dr. Wayne King’s Foolproof Ranking Method

Step 1

First, you need to pick a keyword phrase that you would like
to rank for. A keyword phrase is composed of 3 words or more.
(see last post for more on keywords)

Step 2

You must optimize your site around that keyword phrase.
Spread it around in the text/body of your site a few times
without overdoing it. If you overdo it, that’s called keyword
stuffing and it won’t work. (The keyword density should be of
about 2%).

Step 3

Add the meta tags in the html code of your site. Here is
a fantastic free tool that generates the meta code for you
and you just have to copy paste: META Builder

Step 4

Submit the sitemap of your site to the search engines.
To create the sitemap use this free tool: Sitemap Generator

Here are the places where you submit the sitemap to each
respective search engine.

Google: Webmaster Tools
Yahoo: Submit Your Site
MSN: API Moreover (Not MSN but it works)
Ask: Sitemap Submission

For the last two, just add your sitemap to the end of the
URL. For example: =http://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

(Yes, you need to upload the sitemap to that location, in
the case of blogs it usually looks like

http://yourdomain.com/atom.xml)

Step 5

Now you want the search engines to notice you, so you need
to do some massive backlinking.

Either do it yourself (tedious!) see here for instructions:

Or get your backlinks done for SEO here

I hope you enjoyed it, now go dominate the search engines!

P.S: Take into account that this can also be done in Wordpress and for better results you can even use the All In One SEO Pack plugin.

Keywords The REAL road to riches

By admin, December 23, 2009 3:01 am

One of the most frequently asked questions regarding internet marketing is “What the hell is keyword research, how does it work?” and other variations of the same question.

I’m here to explain it thoroughly.

Keyword Research & Implementation 101

The Theory

We as internet marketers have some very valuable tools at our disposal.

One of which allows us to figure out exactly what terms or phrases are being used by people from all over the world to find information about specific subjects in the search engines and also how many people are using those specific terms everyday.

With the power of keyword research tools we can find that out and with almost precise numbers.

From my understanding there are two types of keyword research tools.

The ones that pull the information directly from the databases of the search engines (Such as Google External Keyword Tool and Yahoo Overture). These are usually quite accurate (at least in respect of the search engine database they pulled the data from) but are usually based on a previous month or previous data, so they are somewhat out of date.

The ones that pull the information from the metacrawlers and are not as accurate, but they are up to date. Such as Wordtracker and SEO Book Tool.

As you can see, not 1 tool is entirely accurate, so I suggest you use them in cross reference.

There are also powerful software programs out there that leverage these tools. Good examples are Micro Niche Finder and Market Samurai.

All these tools and software allow us to do several things such as measuring demand, market research, but most importantly allow us to use them so that we can intercept that traffic in the search engines.

Anyway, that was a brief description and definition of keyword research and the tools. Now time for their practical use.

The Practice

Keyword research is a lot easier than some people might think. Basically what I do is research a subject or niche I wish to work on, once I get a hold of the terms that are being used within the niche, I start doing the keyword research.

For example, let’s say I’m researching the dating niche. I find out there are several niche terms, such as:

dating ; pick up ; seduction ; filirting ; rapport ; kissing ; attraction (and many more)

I grab those terms and insert them into the keyword tools, then a long list of keywords related to the term are displayed. You want to go for the long tail keywords/phrases (3 words or more). Why? Because those have way less competition than the other ones.

The keyword tool will also tell you how many daily or monthly searches are being done for the specific terms on the list. Those numbers mean how many people are using the keyword to do a search in the respective search engine.

Now, that can be used as one measurement of demand in a niche. But most importantly you want them so that you get your work to be displayed in the search engines for those specific keywords! Be it your blog, article, site, bookmark, magazine, whatever.

The next step is measuring the competition, usually that is done by doing a search for the long tail keyword/phrase in the search engines (like Google) under quotation marks. For example: “how to seduce women”

A number of search results will be displayed in the search engine and that number is the true competition for that keyword.

Why are the results extremely different (and higher) for the keyword when it’s not used in quotation marks?

Simple, because when it is not used in quotation marks, the sites that use related terms, synonyms etc… also display (that is the fake competition).

However, the number of competition is not all there is to it. There is also something called the “strength of competition” which is actually MUCH more important than the number of competition.

The SoC includes several variables, mainly: Page rank (not site rank), page reputation, authority, incoming links, page rank of incoming links, relevance of content and many others.

If the SoC is low, even if there is a lot of competing sites, the keyword will be easy to rank for. There are tools like Micro Niche Finder which measure the SoC to an extent.

You can also use this free tool to detect if a keyword has commercial value or not: Detecting Online Commercial Intention: Audience Intelligence: adCenter Labs

The Criteria

Now, the personal criteria I use to pick keywords is if they have at least 300 monthly search results, less than300,000 competing sites and less than 30 incoming links. That works fine for me.

With this criteria and 100 keywords (there are thousands of thousands for every niche I can assure you) that’s a potential of 1,000 daily unique visitors.

But by all means don’t consider my criteria as the only one, other people use different parameters. Use what works for you.

There are literally hundreds of variables to measure the competition, but I don’t want you to complicate yourself for now, so the ones provided will suffice for now.

The Implementation

Well, now you know what keyword research is all about and now you know how to do it, once you have selected a niche and you have digged several useful long tail keywords/phrases you can move on to actually putting them to good use.

There are several ways to do this, you can implement them in article marketing (discussed already), search engine optimization, pay per click or even sell them in bulk (although that is by far the least profitable use they have in the long run).

Killer Article marketing Strategy

By admin, December 20, 2009 8:21 pm

Article Marketing is now more popular than ever, the problem is most people don’t understand the whole science behind it.

This method requires an entire systematic procedure (for which there are many variations), it’s not just about submitting quality articles (although that’s a big part of it).

Article Marketing 101

This is a step by step procedure, follow it and I guarantee results.

Step 1 – Keyword Research And Implementation

A lot of people, especially IM beginners or newbies don’t get the entire concept behind the ‘keyword(s)’. There are many types of keywords, for this method we will be using one known as long tail keywords or keyword phrases.

To illustrate the process, I’m going to grab a random niche, a highly competitive one to show you that competition can only be good (because there is higher demand). The dating niche.

Now, head to your favourite keyword research tool (I use Google Keyword Suggestion Tool myself).

Here is where you will be doing all the research.

Your goal is to look for any long tail keyword related to the niche that has at least 10 daily search results (the more the better obviously) and LESS than 10,000 google competition (the less the better). Allow me to elaborate.

I typed the search term pick up in the keyword tool and a long list of all types of keywords displays, since we are looking for long tails it should be a phrase containing 2 or more words.

Here is one sweet talk pick up lines (yes that is ONE keyword) it has over 650 overall daily search results (an average between the top 3 search engines) and a whopping Google competition of 131 websites (note scarcasm).

Hint: There are many more profitable keywords in that list alone.

Some people are going to kill me for revealing that keyword, it has the potential of driving 650+ visitors to your website per DAY with ONE article.

How did I measure competition you may wonder? I went to Google and did a search for the keyword under quotation marks: “sweet talk pick up lines”

Step 2 – Source Research For Your Article

Naturally, to write an article around that keyword you need to know some sweet talk pick up lines, so you will want to do some research on it unless you are some sort of Casanova.

This is the most simple process, go to Google and type sweet talk pick up lines (without quotations this time), check about 5 sources, grab your favourite pick up lines and you are good to go.

Hint: A source can be anything from an encyclopaedia to an article.

Note that in this case, that was very easy research, sometimes you will need to do a more in depth investigation in order to pull out a great article.

Step 3 – Writing The Article

You don’t have to be a professional writer to pull off an amazing article, simply write the article as if you were speaking to a client verbally.

Don’t forget to make the article short (350-650 Words is my criteria), you don’t want the reader bored to death and leaving half way through (that accomplishes nothing) by making them read your college thesis.

The basic structure of an article is composed of 6 parts. In order:

1. Title or Headline

The keyword MUST go here, for example: Top 10 Sweet Talk Pick Up Lines To Capture Her Attention. Headlines are used to caputure the reader’s attention, in this case it is also used to optimize the article for the search engines.

2. Summary

The keyword doesn’t necessarily have to go in this one, it’s all about writing an appealing summary of your article. The summary is what will most likely show in the search engines under the title/headline of the article.

3. First Paragraph

Again, the keyword MUST go here once (don’t flood it). Make it interesting and appealing or the visitor/reader will leave.

4. Body

Add the keyword in this part once again and insert the sweet talk pick up lines you chose during your research.

5. Last Paragraph or Conclusion

This is where you close the reader. Add the keyword one last time and present a subtle lead to the resource box (where you promote your website).

6. Resource Box

The best article directories will only allow you to promote or advertise something in this space, it has to be appealing and it MUST have a clear call to action. This is where you add the link to your website (ideally in anchor text for a keyword you have your website optimized around for SEO purposes (mainly backlinking)).

Just as an example: “If you truly want to get the girl, go to this website now: [Insert Link in Anchor Text] It is the top resource on dating advice and tips courtesy of the leading dating guru.”

Step 4 – Submitting The Article

Great! Now you have created a very powerful article, it’s time to submit it. You can submit to as many article directories as you wish without any penalties (duplicate content does not apply unless you submit the same article under the same domain).

The leading article directory is Ezine Articles. Their customer support may not be the best, but no matter what people say it gives the best ROTI (Return Over Time Invested – It’s Free) and each day they become more strict on what articles to accept, so you won’t get away with crap articles (which is good, crap articles are useless).

After submitting to EZA and getting it approved, feel free to submit to as many article directories as you want.

Step 5 – Securing The Article’s Position In The Search Engines

Securing an article in #1 position for a specific keyword using the criteria stated above is VERY easy due to the low level of competition, you just need a few backlinks.

There is software out there (and services) that submit backlinks to over 100 social bookmarking websites, providing you with enough backlinks to secure the article in #1 position. The key to using these programs is:DON’T SPAM, just submit 1-3 backlinks per day at most.

When you do a backlink make sure it is linking to your article IN anchor text with the keyword used in the article.

That close to guarantees your search engine rankings because the competition for the search term(s) is low. Add a killer quality article to the mix and you will be getting backlinks from people you don’t even know for free.

Final Step – The Numbers Game

After all the steps above are met, it becomes a numbers game. Submit 100 articles using this method. Don’t panic just yet, let me show you why.

Let’s say all your articles average 100 views per day and you have a decent average CTR of 20% (these numbers are very common). 100 Views X 20% = 20 Unique Visitors Per Article X 100 Articles = 2,000 DAILYLaser Targeted Visitors (AKA Potential Buyers) to your website.

That is just an example using a below average scenario, the numbers may vary and if you stop submitting articles the traffic may go down (unless the keywords used continue to get the same number of daily hits).

This works for every single niche out there. And not only are you getting highly targeted traffic to your websites but you are also branding yourself as an expert in the niche(s) you chose. Enjoy!
